Making Class –Working with Metal!
Go beyond basic bead-work -- try something new: metal-working!
It’s not as hard as you think…
You will learn:
-metal cutting and finishing
-metal-work tips and techniques
-design principles
-basic jewelry construction
…all in a creative and relaxed atmosphere! Classes are
taught by a certified art-education instructor. We have all
the tools and supplies needed to create a beautiful gold or
silver-tone necklace (we also supply snacks!). So come and join

– Forging and Patinas!
We continue to “forge” ahead! (pun intended)

taught by a certified art-education instructor. We have all

Bracelet Class
Carry your friends and loved ones with you wherever you go –
or, make a special gift for someone! We will be creating a bracelet
which features 8-10 of your own photos, incorporated with wire-wrapped
charms and beads and findings of your choice. Join us for creativity,
conversation and snacks!
Spend an evening learning:
-color and design theory

-photo editing tips and tricks

* Photos need to be dropped off one week ahead of the class
time so that they can be digitally manipulated and printed (black
& white, with the color cast of your choice on premium matte

The
Ancient ART of GLASSBEADS
INTRO TO LAMPWORKING
This
class will introduce you to the wonderful hobby of glass bead
making.
You will use a hothead torch and rods of Moretti Glass to
create several beads to take home!
Learn torch safety, melting glass and bead construction. Learn
how to apply surface decorations, such as dots and stripes.
No prior experience necessary!

BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE CLASS
Learn from a certified PMC3 instructor and create pieces such
as earrings,
Necklace pendants or small pins!

METAL CLAY IS SO SIMPLE TO WORK WITH!!!
What
is PMC?
PMC is an exciting material developed and patented in the
1990s by Mitsubishi Materials of Japan. PMC consists of microscopic
particles of silver that are mixed with a moist binder to
create a material which has the feel and working properties
of modeling clay.
Forming
Using your fingers and simple tools, objects are easily given
shape, texture and character to create a vast range of forms.
PMC can be rolled, pressed, squeezed, layered and molded into
many desired shapes. Parts can be added, removed and refined
as you go, making this a
spontaneous and liberating process!
Hardening
After air-drying, the objects are heated to temperatures approaching
the melting point of the metal. The binder burns away and
the metal particles fuse together making a dense, fully metallic
object which is 99% fine silver.

Altered
Books Workshop
Tap
into your subconscious as you watch your artwork unfold, almost
by itself! That’s what happens when you create your
own altered book. Come prepared with a theme and your own
small found objects or paper ephemera. We will supply the
prepared book, additional supplies and technical know-how
(and encouragement!) as we discover the path of self-exploration
and art therapy. You will create a visually multi-layered
work of art with a message! Come explore with us.

Polymer
Clay Transfer Pins and Pendants
We
will be utilizing polymer clay transfer techniques and patination
in creating a pin or pendant (your choice). Basic jewelry
design and assembly skills will be taught as well.
You pick the image and then learn how to incorporate it into
a beautiful work of wearable art!
